Richard A. Lanham Article

In the first part of the knowing interview Richard Lanham is talking about different technology that is offered in the world. He talks about how many books are made every year, websites, videos...etc He goes on to explain why there are so many books, websites, videos..etc Some people may do it for interest reason and some may do it for other reasons. Richard Lanham says that the digital age will be a huge problem. Then he starts to talk about the Is Google Making Us Stupid article. When reading this article earlier in the semester I had a hard time reading the whole article. I found myself skimming threw the article which isn't good.

Everything Science Knows About Reading on Screens   This article talks about the shift from paper to screens. As stated in the article, "It's left many wondering what we've lost or gained in the shift and a handful of scientists are trying to figure out the answer". This question is left unknown because of the different types of media and the person's preference. Studies show that many people who read online scan through the passage rather than actually reading the material. Studies show that many people who read off paper focus better rather than reading on a device. When reading on a device you are able to multi-task but when you are reading off of a paper its harder to multi-task which makes it easier to focus. Scanning through passages is called nonlinear reading. Intro

Hello!    I am Kamari Littlejohn. In this class I plan to learn how to create blogs and how to attract an audiences. I also want to cover how to make a website and how to create a brand for myself. I am looking forward to a great year! Can't wait to see what the future holds.

How to shoot a Video

How to make a video using the rule of thirds.  If shooting person you use their eyes and nose. Landscape you use the mountain.  180 Rule: May have to use two cameras but your getting two points of view. Shooting interviews: Interviews are two shots. Don't ask yes or no questions. Tell the person to look at there person who is interviewing them. Shooting B roll: Plan out the movements.  The movements that your going to make. Get a playlist. Nose room ( needs to leave space for room). Second thing to remember is head room. Remember the rule fo thirds. Compose to keep control of hands and body movement.
